Gedion Markos is a visual artist born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 1990 G.C. He completed his primary and secondary education in Awasa and Addis Ababa.
He later pursued formal training in fine arts at Alle School of Fine Arts and Design, where he specialized in Painting and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree after four years of intensive study.
Since graduating, Gedion has worked as a full-time studio artist for over a decade, developing a distinct visual language rooted in personal experience, cultural memory, and contemporary expression.
His works have been exhibited in several prominent venues, including the Addis Ababa Museum, the National Museum of Ethiopia, Hilton Addis Ababa, and other galleries and cultural spaces.
