LIFELINE

These are now my two most important lifelines. Both were created by a C-section, the only operation where seven cut canvases turn into someone's line of life. The joy of giving birth to a new life, through seven, surgically cut canvases, gave birth to hands, on whose palms the lines of those fateful incisions could be seen. It was April when this vision happened in my painting studio, just when this used to be revealed to some king once upon a time in a dream. A Caesar's decree cannot be denied a word, so that dream became reality by April decree, and the scars that remained on my Anja as a precious memory of the birth of my children made her an immortal queen.
