"Forest and scree of basaltic rocks that extend over the slopes of the Suc de Jalore.

The Suc de Jalore is one of the mountains I can gaze upon from my studio, and it has inspired many paintings viewed from my window. I also love to explore its slopes, its marvelous, stony, mossy, and luminous forest. Here, one encounters a scree of basaltic rocks, a remnant of the erosion-dismantled lava flow.

In this large canvas, I sought to capture the summer light filtering through the lush foliage of the trees, creating a delicate interplay of shadows and light on the stony path that winds through the scene. This path leads us to the river of volcanic stones, which is like a dazzling sight upon exiting the forest.

This painting is an invitation to contemplation, a meditative pause that reminds the viewer to take the time to appreciate the beauty of nature in all its complexity and summer fullness. In essence, a painting that echoes the very whisper of the landscape it depicts.

This artwork will be packaged rolled in a tube. Once stretched by a framer, the white finish of the sides of the canvas allows, if you wish, a hanging without a frame."
